Happy Treating!

Graycen enjoyed "treating" tonight with her bubby Gavin and Daddy. She went to 2 whole houses before she decided she was done. Then she came home got out of her Marie (from the Aristocats) costume and helped hand out candy with Gavin on the front porch. When the candy was gone, she came inside and said, "We got a lot of stuff treating!" If she only knew how much more she could have gotten if she'd gone to more than 2 houses!

Garrett went trick or treating with some friends in another neighborhood. Of course I did not get a picture of him before he left. I am going to start calling him the camera dodger. He was a pirate, and this may be his last year of trick or treating...

We weren't sure what Gavin's costume was. We finally decided on a Dude. It is basically the costume you come up with at the last minute by buying a great wig that you look hilarious in.

Graycen is doing great with her physical therapy, or serapy as she calls it. She loves going to see her Kesia and Michelle. Here are some recent pictures with Kesia while she was practicing climbing stairs.

Sweet Shelby

Last night heaven gained an angel, and we lost a sweet, precious girl. Shelby has been fighting cancer for over 18 months. You can read about her valiant fight on her website:

The Grover's go to our church, and our hearts ache for them and all they are going through right now. Please remember Shelby's family in your prayers.

Shelby was a patient at St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis. You can help support St. Jude's by going to Bombay Company and purchasing a Shelby Bear, that was named after Shelby. A beautiful girl with the sweetest smile and big brown eyes...

Another A Sleepless Legacy Concert

Tonight Grant's band had a concert at our church with 3 other bands. There was a great turnout, and the band actually got paid some $! We stayed just for Grant's band--thankfully they played first. Here are some pictures:Graycen and Gavin "screaming" along with A Sleepless Legacy

In the morning we are heading to Tulsa for the first marching band contest of the season. Go Cutting Edge! Go Garrett!

On a sad note, my Uncle Darold died this morning. He was fighting cancer and we will miss him so much. I have so many wonderful memories of him--he was a wonderful uncle and dad to 5, grandpa to 14. I will be going to Iowa on Sunday. I knew it was coming, but it doesn't make it any easier.
